What does KBBConnect cost?

Answer

KBBConnect is a real time online service that you subscribe to on a monthly basis. The minimum contract period is one year. Please contact us on 01344 878110 for the current tariff.

What do I need to run KBBConnect?

Answer

Any modern computer with an internet connection will work.

Do I need to install software for KBBConnect?

Answer

No, KBBConnect is an online service, similar to internet banking so there is no need for large software slowing you system down

Will KBBConnect work on Apple Mac computers?

Answer

Yes, KBBConnect is compatible with Apple Mac computers.

I have forgotten my password, how can I retrieve it?

Answer

When on the login screen for KBBConnect, simply click on the Forgot password link and this will automatically send a new password to the registered email address.

Can I import a CAD file into KBBConnect?

Answer

Yes you can. KBBConnect works seamlessly with leading CAD software to import components – see our Quick Guides section for more information

I want to add some additional users to my KBBConnect account is this possible?

Answer

Yes, you can create additional users in the Users tab in KBBConnect. Please note that there is a nominal additional charge for each additional user. You will also need to email the request to e va@smart-systems.co.uk to ensure the new users are activated!

I want to create a quotation for a few items without calling it a Kitchen, Bedroom or Bathroom quotation, can this be done?

Answer

Yes. When you create a new quotation you can select the “Items only” quote button which will allow you to quote without all the specific fields.

I want to add an item to my quote which isn’t in any of my pricelists

Answer

No problem! Simply use the free text item button in the quotation screen which will allow you to create a unique item for your quote.

Why are some suppliers not approving my pricelist requests?

Answer

The majority of suppliers will approve your pricelist requests within 48 hours providing you have an account with them. If they are taking longer than this we recommend you speak directly to your supplier and request they process this for you.

How do I get trained on KBBConnect?

Answer

There are various options for training on KBBConnect from our in house training days and regional seminars to our free online Video tutorials. Please go to the Training page for more information about training services

Can my colleagues use KBBConnect and share data with me?

Answer

Yes, once you register and logon with KBBConnect you will be able to add your colleagues into the user list.

If my computer crashes, will I lose all my data?

Answer

Your data is always saved and continually backed up. There is an additional advantage to you in that you can minimize investment and resource in maintaining an in house data back up.

Will my competitors be able to ‘hack’ my account?

Answer

KBBConnect uses a completely secure system, all data is your own and will not be passed on to third parties etc. The only way your data could be accessed is if you gave away your username and password.

How can I check to see what my overall margins are on my quotation?

Answer

You can keep an eye on your profits and margins in KBBConnect by going to Advanced Tasks and then selecting Price Sums on the left hand menu.

I want to quote a job in two different ranges. Can this be done without having to overwrite my first quotation?

Answer

In KBBConnect you can simply Clone your original quotation and then change the range and click reprice. This will then price up the quotation in a different range giving you two separate quotations.

It seems that my discounts and margins are not correct – how do I check this?

Answer

Setting your discounts and margins in KBBConnect is vitally important as it ensure you are making the right profits. Click on the terms tab to check the discounts and margins you have set for each of your suppliers and make sure these are correct.

I want to recommend a new feature on KBBConnect, how can I do this?

Answer
